Criteria: The ICEAA IEEE-APWC establish the ICEAA IEEE-APWC Award to recognize the author(s) who present at the ICEAA IEEE-APWC joint conferences an exceptional paper in terms of content and impact on Electromagnetics. In selecting the awardee, other factors considered are originality, clarity and timeliness of the paper. Interested authors are encouraged to apply after carefully reviewing the following information to insure their eligibility and ability to comply with application requirements and deadlines.
Administration: The award will be administered by the ICEAA Scientific Committee.
Eligibility: Candidates must submit electronically the final version of their accepted contribution to ICEAA’11 or IEEE-APWC '11 according to the Conference standards (to secure publication in IEEE Xplore) by June 3, 2011. They must present their paper orally in a session of ICEAA’11 or IEEE-APWC '11, also in a special poster session scheduled for the afternoon of the first day of the conference (Monday, September 12, 2011). Candidates must email a short biographical sketch and research activity summary together with the paper log number to iceaa11@iceaa.polito.it by the deadline of June 3, 2011. All candidates must have paid their registration to ICEAA’11 IEEE-APWC '11 by June 3, 2011.
The persons eligible for this award are young scientists aged not more than thirty-six as of June 3, 2011, who have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
Award Items: A certificate and a prize of 800 Euro will be awarded to the young scientist who has authored the best paper. In case of eligible coauthors who are registered participants at ICEAA IEEE-APWC, each awardee will receive a certificate and the cash award will be shared equally among them. Since the award announcement and presentation are made at the ICEAA IEEE-APWC banquet, all candidates are expected to attend the banquet.
Publicity: The winner(s) of the ICEAA IEEE-APWC 2011 award will be acknowledged on IEEE Xplore in a special page entitled: "Winner of the ICEAA IEEE-APWC 2011 Award."
Timetable:
March 11, 2011 – Electronic submission of abstract with indication that it is intended for the award competition. June 3, 2011 – Electronic submission of the final paper on the ICEAA website and full registration of those authors who are candidates for the award. June 3, 2011 – Candidates must email their short biographical sketch and research activity summary together with the log number of the paper(s) to be considered for the award to: iceaa11@iceaa.polito.it. October 1, 2011 – The Award Recipient(s) should email their photo, affiliation and biographical sketch for preparation of the page to be published in IEEE Xplore to: iceaa11@iceaa.polito.it..
