For the years from 2011 onwards, the data reported are the sum of the data of the two joint conferences, ICEAA and IEEE APWC.

ICEAA - International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications.

The ICEAA conference has always been organized by the Politecnico di Torino with the technical or financial patronage of other institutes, universities and research centers. The first edition of the conference dates back to 1989 and the conference took place every two years in Torino, Italy, until its eleventh edition and then, starting from 2010, every year in different continents and countries. It is historically interesting to observe that the ICEAA officially took the name of "International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications" in its fourth edition of 1995 when it considerably expanded the topics covered; previously the acronym meant "International Conference on Electromagnetics in Aerospace Applications"

The areas of interest of ICEAA concern all electromagnetics advanced applications, in all fields of industrial and scientific interest. Furthermore, ICEAA has always offered numerous special sessions in each of its editions, organized by internationally renowned researchers.

The conferences held in Torino were financially co-sponsored by Alenia for the first three editions, and then by the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella di Torino (ISMB), from the sixth to the eleventh edition, and by the Torino Wireless Foundation for the thirteenth and fifteenth edition. ICEAA is financially co-sponsored by the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society since 2012 while enjoying, since 2003, the perpetual "technical co-sponsorship" of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society, which guarantees the publication of the Conference Proceedings on IEEE Xplore, the official website of the IEEE.

Great boost to ICEAA as well as its foundation are due to the Steering Committee President, Prof. Rodolfo Zich, honorary member of the IEEE since 2016, and Rector of the Politecnico di Torino for 15 years in a row, from 1987 to 2001. Prof. Mario Orefice of the Politecnico di Torino chaired the ICEAA organizing committee for the first five editions, from 1989 to 1997. Starting from the sixth edition of 1999, the ICEAA general chair has been Prof. Roberto D. Graglia of the Politecnico di Torino while the Scientific Committee of ICEAA is chaired by Prof. Piergiorgio Uslenghi of the University of Illinois, Chicago. Guido Lombardi has been Publication Chair since 2011.

IEEE APWC- IEEE Topical Conference on Antennas and Propagation in Wireless Communications

The "IEEE Topical Conference on Antennas and Propagation in Wireless Communications" (IEEE APWC) is an annual international conference, established in 2011, and 100% financially sponsored by the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society. All editions of IEEE APWC were held jointly with ICEAA. Since its first edition, the President of the IEEE APWC Scientific Committee has been Prof. Piergiorgio Uslenghi of the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA, while the president of the Organizing Committee has been Prof. Roberto D. Graglia of the Politecnico di Torino, Italy and Guido Lombardi has been Publication Chair since 2011.

The areas of interest of IEEE APWC concern the whole area of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with particular attention to wireless communications and satellite navigation technologies
